Which headphones work?
HeadUp reads head motion from AirPods (3rd generation and later), AirPods Pro, AirPods Max and Beats with head tracking, such as Beats Fit Pro, Powerbeats Pro 2, Solo 4 and Studio Pro. Other headphones can’t report head motion to an iPhone. In HeadUp, Profile, then the gear, then Headphones shows whether yours work.
HeadUp doesn’t notice when my head drops.
Check that Motion & Fitness is on for HeadUp: iPhone Settings, Privacy & Security, Motion & Fitness. Make sure both AirPods are in your ears, then calibrate again under Profile, Calibration.
My session stopped in the background.
iOS sometimes ends apps in the background. If it does, HeadUp tells you with a notification, and a tap picks the session back up. If it keeps happening, write to us with the time, your iPhone and your AirPods, and we’ll look into it.
How do I cancel HeadUp Plus?
On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then HeadUp. Or in HeadUp: Profile, the gear, Manage subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before your plan renews and you won’t be charged again.
I bought Plus, but it isn’t active.
In HeadUp, go to Profile, the gear, Restore purchases, while signed in with the Apple ID you bought it with.
Can I get a refund?
Apple handles all payments, so refunds go through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
How do herds work?
A herd is a group of up to 30 friends racing the same week. It syncs through iCloud, so everyone needs to be signed in to iCloud. Anyone in the herd can invite others, the person who started it can remove members, and you can leave at any time.
How do I delete my data?
Leave your herd first (Herd, Leave herd), then delete the app. Everything else lives on your iPhone and goes with it. For purchase records at our payment service, email us. The privacy policy has the details.
Is HeadUp a medical device?
No. HeadUp helps you build a habit of keeping your head up. It doesn’t diagnose or treat anything. If your neck or back hurts, please see a doctor.
